Reve[Yule]lution
A Winter Dreaming
Come lose your head at the Reve[Yule]lution!
For the winter solstice, the 291 Gallery, a former church in Hackney, became the backdrop for a SpRoUt event that rekindled the fires of imagination to create a feast of art, music, poetry and performance.
The third in a series of quarterly shows that mark the changing seasons, SpRoUt invoke the spirit of Yule. The sacred spaces brimmed with dance, song and visual enchantment to banish the cold London night.
Aural pleasures were provided by the sirens of 'Token', the sweetly melancholic boys of 'Bedspace', the charming eccentrics of 'Seymour's fat lady' - climaxing in musical mayhem from 'Our Steve'.
