Stockton & Marlow is a small independent wine company based in Calais whose simple objective is the pursuit of excellence.

Our basic policy is to buy wines from individual vignerons or companies whose wines totally convey the colours, bouquets and flavours of their particular terroir, and to sell these expressive wines to a discerning clientèle.

Our wines are not bland and standardised, they are ethnic and charismatic. Prices commence at €2.95 and slowly waft upwards.

We source wines from vignerons such as René-Hugues Gay of Saumur fame and whose ancestor of the same name founded the cellars in 1631; Maurice Siffert of Alsace whose company was established in 1792 when a twenty-three year old artillery officer called Napoleon Bonaparte was beginning to make a name for himself; and Le Comte de Lorgeril in Cabardès where the current Count traces his roots back to I620 and the days of Louis XIII.

All the wines from the latter estates have received the priceless benefits of having emanated from establishments with assets of tradition, talent, perseverance and dedication.

We only list French wines which when well-chosen offer a stimulating and exciting experience, and which just ooze gallic flair, verve and originality.
